Willow Wellness is proudly headed by Ashley Truter.
Born in Port Elizabeth, he matriculated at Alexander High School and went on to study pharmacy at the Port Elizabeth Technikon.
He graduated in 1979 and opened his first formal pharmacy practice at Holburn Pharmacy which he conducted from 1982 to 1996.
During this period he initiated National 1st Aid Distribution to factories and clinics. At about this time he felt a strong calling to investigate natural, non-invasive methods of healing the diseased body.
His experiences in formal pharmacy application highlighted the potentially harmful side effects of conventional medication and drug therapy and he believed that by using natural medicinal herbs, homeopathics, biochemic tissue salts, vitamins, minerals and essential fats and amino acids together with common sense, disease could be dealt with in a manner less harmful to the human body.
In 1996 he sold his pharmacy and went on to obtain diplomas in Iridology, Kinesiology, Body Alignment and Reiki.
He further investigated and added to his health portfolio: Live Blood Analysis, Chinese Diagnostics, Ayurvedic application and Anthroposophy.
As the owner of the health shop 'Healthwise – The Original Farmacy' in Port Elizabeth he designed and applied the Willow range of traditional food supplements.
In 2005 Ashley amalgamated with Andre Mulder, who heads Nature's Own Pharmacy.
At this time the Biosync Sport Range, the Biobalance Tissue salts and Nature's Own aromatherapy oils brand of supplements were launched.
Today this partnership, based on integrity and service, has made Nature's Own Pharmacy and Willow Wellness leading experts in wellness.
Willow Wellness has been carefully designed to supply a unique range of traditional food supplements supported by an educational hands-on portfolio of ailments to enable natural health practitioners and independent health-conscious persons to have access to a convenient one-stop shopping experience for their supplement needs, queries and applications.
